At The Top of The Hill

One day while I was in France, I spent attempting to go sight-seeing with my host sister in Lyon. I say attempting because we really only visited la Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière…it’s a mouthful I know. It’s a church that was built in the 19th century but the hill it sits on, Fourvière, has a long history of religious and cultural miracles. I didn’t mind that it was the only place we visited today, as it is an amazingly beautiful building. Here are some photos so you can see for yourself…

From the church there is an incredible view of Lyon and on a clear day, Mont Blanc is visible, too. Unfortunately, the day we visited the church was probably the most overcast day of the trip so the view did not extend very far. I was, however, still able to take some cool pictures of the city shrouded in fog.

Hope you enjoyed this update.
