When in Lyon

Since being in Lyon I’ve noticed that most of it’s citizens consider it the most beautiful city in the world. Whilst I wouldn’t say it’s the most beautiful city , I definitely believe it’s one of them. The city truly is breathtaking with winding cobbled streets, numerous historical monuments, breathtaking views and, arguably, the best food in France!

Over the past few weeks my host family and I have explored a vast amount of Lyon and I’ve had many new experiences. I have visited the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, la Place Bellecour and the ancient Roman ruins that are dotted around the city. I went ice-skating for the first time, saw my first ice-hockey game and have eaten so many new and delicious foods I’ve lost count. Hopefully my experiences will provide you with some inspiration if you are planning a trip to Lyon or simply satisfy your curiosity.
