Home Decor Haul

Watch the YouTube Video…

My boyfriend , Olly, and I have been living in our renovated “studio apartment” for a month or so now and I have slowly been purchasing new home decor for our little space to make it feel more comfortable and homey.

Here are some of the items I have obtained over the last month for our studio space.

Coffee Corner

Everything pictured above is from Target so all of these items are quite affordable. We love having a little coffee bar in our living room, it means we don’t have to walk to the kitchen on the other side of the house every time we want a cup of tea and gives us that feeling of a little extra independence. I’ve linked every item I could find below if you want to check it out for yourself (except for the raised wooden chopping board which is no longer on the website…sorry)!

Round Mirror

This mirror was actually already in the space when it was a lounge room/home office, before we converted it. We loved how sleek it looked and the fact that it fit in with out colour scheme so much we decided to use it in our living room area. It really opens up the room and adds the dimension that it needed. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find this on the website that it was bought from but I’ve linked one below that looks similar.

Plant Pot

Also purchased at Target, this pot goes perfectly with our colour scheme of earthy, red tones and adds a lovely pop of colour on our dining table and in this area of the room. The best part? It was only $12.00 AUD

Copper Wire String Lights

Guess where these lights are from? Yep…Target. You can always find a great bargain at Target. We strung these lights around our dining area and living room and I LOVE turning them on at night when my boyfriend and I are sitting down to watch a movie or our new favourite show, Parks and Recreation. They create such a cosy ambience, I love string lights!

Rust Coloured Curtains

Last, but certainly not least, are our curtains. This is one of my favourite parts of the room. I love the way they frame the doorway and at night, when we close them, it really makes the place feel cosy and seperate from the rest of the house. We love this because it allows us to have our space and acts as pretty decor at the same time.
The curtain rod and the tie back hooks are actually from an old bedroom in the house that my brother turned into his study. He didn’t want them anymore so we scored. They also just happen to match our decor theme. It’s like it was meant to be.

I hope you enjoyed this home decor update and that if you were looking for inspiration, you found some items that you might like to try in your own home.
